Got Plumbing Problems?
We Can Help
We’re happy to provide whatever information we can to our clients. Following see our commonly asked questions and answers. Often most people find a professional is the way to go but some minor plumbing issues can be solved easily without a visit and many more can be easily prevented.
We successfully complete over 10,000 service calls a year and that is more than 200 in an average week. We welcome the opportunity to add you to our growing list of satisfied customers.
Q. How soon can you get here?
A. If you call us, we will be at your home or business the same day 99.4% of the time. We aren’t perfect but we keep trying.
Q. How many hours a week do your employees answer the phone live?
A. We have a full team of technicians available 7 DAYS a WEEK so chances are very good that we can get out to you within 2 hours. However, if all of our technicians are already working on other customer’s issues, we will give you a 2-hour time window for service.
Many of our competitors use voice mail or an answering service and promise to get back to you ASAP. This isn’t much help if you need to speak to someone now.
Q. What will it cost?
A. Most plumbing companies will quote an hourly rate over the phone but that doesn’t come close to answering the question of how much it will cost in the end.
Even worse are companies that quote a low price for a service like drain cleaning as a “come on”. They have so many “add on” charges for things like going up or down a flight of stairs (yes it’s true) that you will almost always ending up paying far more than the bargain price. A proper quote is based on diagnosing the exact nature of the problem at your home and then determining how long it will take to fix it.
The skill of the service technician has a big impact on how long it will take. How fast they work will also impact the final cost.
Q. Do You Use Part-Time Employees or Sub-Contractors?
A. We only use full-time salaried employees. Many of our competitors use sub-contractors that are paid by the project. Our employees are trained in our procedures and this ensures consistent service from all of them.
Our plumbing technicians average 14 years of experience so they have the experience to fix your problem the first time.
With sub-contractors it’s a gamble – they realize they probably won’t work for you again so maybe you get satisfactory service and maybe you don’t.
Why take the risk?
Q. Do your crews get paid by commission?
A. NO – all of our plumbers and drain cleaning technicians are full-time salaried employees.
It is a very common practice in plumbing for the crews to be paid commission.
We all know that this means that the more they charge you the more they make…this is kind of like having a used car salesman at your home.
You may end up with someone that is motivated to make a bigger commission.
Especially in a tough economy, people may be inclined to try to make some extra bucks at your expense.
We don’t work that way.
Q. Can you guarantee the price?
A. Most plumbing contractors will give the run around on this one. They won’t want to commit especially if they are paid by commission.
We will provide you a firm, fixed price once we diagnose the problem. If the problem appears to be extensive we will ask for a modest fee to do the diagnosis BUT we will credit that back to you provided we do the work.
Q. Do you charge for travel time to my home, office or to the plumbing supply house?
A. No, we do not charge for travel time.
Q. Will you provide proof of insurance?
A. Yes and this is very important.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Each service call is different. We will give you a firm price for the work once we diagnose the problem.
